The Charger men's basketball team fell to the Graceland Jackets 79-70 inside the Newman Flanagan Center Monday afternoon.
Jaxson Wingert paced the Chargers with 24 points while shooting seven-for-12 from the field and knocked down three triples in the contest.
Blake Sindelar scored 23 points on seven-for-12 shooting and went a perfect eight-for-eight from the free throw line.
Ryan Kleppe finished with 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds while
Colby Collison finished with six points and grabbed seven boards.
Briar Cliff connected on 11 shots from beyond the arc and finished with 13 assists but shot 41.1% overall and was limited to 20 points in the paint.
Graceland's scored 50 points in the paint and shot 56.6% from the field. Cole Bowen led the Jackets in scoring with 28 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Carson Busch added 24 points.
The Chargers slide to 7-6 (4-3 GPAC) and will return to action on December 30, as they travel to North Newton, Kansas to take on Bethel. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m.
