The Charger wrestling team split the first GPAC Duals Tuesday evening, falling 27-13 to Concordia before defeating Hastings 30-19 later in the evening in Sioux City.

"Once again, our effort was on par with what I like to see from our guys and when you look at the matches that were actually contested, we split 4-4 with Concordia and went 6-2 against Hastings," said
Donaco Watts. "The entire team is growing up right before our eyes and it's an exciting thing to behold."

The Cliff were open at both 125 and 285 in both duals.

Dante Rigal defeated Concordia's Aaron Ohnoutka in a 9-7 decision in the 133-pound match.

Trystan Berry followed up with a narrow 11-10 decision over Bryce Karlin at the 149-pound bout.
Adam Ohnoutka followed up with a 8-0 major decision victory over Chase Groff in the 157-pound match.

Erik Lessears defeated Evan Sepanlou with a 8-4 decision at 174.

Jarrod Gilliam and
Evan Fuchs against Hastings kicked off the dual with 12 points, as they both earned victories by pin. Berry followed up with a 18-5 major decision victory to go 2-0 on the day.

Jackson Balmer at 165 took a 9-2 decision victory over Nicholas Freeland. Lessears followed up with a tech fall win at 174 followed by a pin from
Jeremiah Bethel.
