The Charger women's soccer team played to a 2-2 draw against the visiting Northwestern Red Raiders Wednesday afternoon on Faber Field.
Tamzin Hilton got the Chargers on the board in the 6
th minute, scoring a goal off a turnover in the attacking half.
The Red Raiders tied the game in the 15
th minute with a goal from Lucy Staines. Coming out of the break, Olivia Regnerus put Northwestern up 2-1 in the 49
th minute.
Quickly after, a Red Raider foul inside the box setup a penalty shot for the Chargers.
Sadie Jones scored off the penalty to tie the game.
Jones led the team with three shots while having three on target. Hilton recorded three shots with two on goal.
Caitlin Anderholm recorded two saves in the match.
The Chargers move to 3-8-1 (1-3-1 GPAC) and will travel to Omaha, Nebraska this Saturday to take on the College of Saint Mary Flames. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
