The Charger football team announced the hiring of
Ryan Sayre as Co-offensive Coordinator/Quarterback's Coach. Sayre, previously served as the Offensive Quality Control/Assistant Quarterback Coach at the University of Wyoming.

"We are excited to bring Ryan to the Cliff to coach our quarterbacks and help lead our offense alongside Coach Crabb," said Head Coach
Shane LaDage. "He has worked alongside some of the best coaches in the country and will be able to use that experience to develop the individuals on our roster and our offense as a whole."

During the 2023 season, the Cowboys finished with a 9-4 (5-3 Mountain West) record, including a 16-15 victory over the Toledo Rockets in the Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl. Wyoming's starting quarterback Andrew Peasley garnered Honorable Mention All-Mountain West his final two seasons in Laramie, Wyoming. Peasley in 2022 threw for 1,574 yards and tossed 10 touchdown passes while rushing 81 times for two touchdowns. In 2023, Peasley threw for 1,991 yards and tossed 20 touchdowns while only throwing five interceptions. He ran for 419 yards on 110 carries and ran for seven touchdowns.

Sayre also spent one season as the Wide Receivers Coach at University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

A native of Castle Rock, Colorado, Sayre played football at Chadron State College in Chadron, Nebraska before finishing his career at Colorado State University.

Kristian Crabb has also been elevated to Co-Offensive Coordinator after serving as the Offensive Line Coach/Run Game Coordinator.

"Coach Crabb has done an excellent job developing our offensive line group, the men in our program have a lot of trust in his as a person and as a coach," said LaDage. "He has been instrumental in helping me develop game plans over the past two seasons and I fell he is ready to take the next step in leading our offense moving forward. I know everyone in our program is excited to see him take on an expanded role!"
