The Charger men's soccer team battled to a 2-2 tie against Governors State Saturday evening on Faber Field.
The Jaguars' got on the board early, scoring a goal from John Gonzalez to take an early 1-0 lead.
Early in the second half, the Chargers created a chance, using the long ball to get to
Yalin Alici, who found
Gabriel Hernandez Les in the open field. Hernandez Les was able to ward off his defender and put one past the keeper for the equalizer.
In the 70
th minute, BCU drew a foul on the attacking side to setup a free kick.
Flynn Kopp laid a deep cross, allowing Herman Toftevag to head it in to give BCU a 2-1 lead.
The Jaguar's evened the score in the final moments of the match, as Raul Garcia's cross found Jero Bencomo to even the score 2-2.

Philip Haenel recorded two saves in the contest and played all 90 minutes at keeper.
The Jaguars held a slim advantage in shots (12-11).
Filip Peters recorded two shots for BCU with one on target.
The Chargers will return to action on September, 5
th, as they travel to Des Moines, Iowa to take on Grandview. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
