GEORGE PUNCHES HIS TICKET FOR NATIONALS

VERMILLION, S.D. – Senior Wilton George set a school record in qualifying for the NAIA National Championship as The Briar Cliff University men's outdoor track & field team closed out the USD Early Bird.  There was a total of seven PR's on the day.

In the 110-meter hurdles, George ran 14.40 to finish fourth.  He hit the NAIA "A" Standard and broke the school record of 14.56 he set in 2021.

The 400M relay team of senior Jalen Cook, sophomore Joshua Miller, graduate student Tulsa Janish and George ran 42.96 to finish seventh.

In addition, personal best were recorded by freshman Connor Antonino (400m dash), freshman Ramon Harkins (100m, 400m dashes), Janish (100m dash), graduate student Kenny Nolan (800) and senior Brian Sosa (200m dash).

Briar Cliff stays home, Friday, Apr. 12 competing in the Sioux City Relays.  The meet is at crosstown rival, Morningside College.
