Kennedy Benne scored a career high 30 points and led the Chargers to their road victory over Jamestown 78-66 Wednesday afternoon. Benne went seven-for-13 from the field and a near perfect four-for-five from deep and 12-for-14 from the free throw line. She also grabbed four rebounds, four assist, and grabbed two steals.

Konnor Sudmann chipped in 15 points and hauled in seven rebounds and dished out five assists.
Payton Slaughter led the Cliff in rebounding with 12. The Chargers shot 49% from the field in the contest and limited the Jimmies to 39% from the field.

After opening the game trading baskets, the Chargers were able to gain a 13-4 lead with 3:59 remaining following a basket from
Kenna Mongan. With 2:02 showing on the game clock, a basket inside the paint from Sudmann gave BCU a 15-8 lead.

In the early minutes of the second quarter, the Jimmies cut the lead to 17-14 following a three from Kia Tower. Benne responded with five straight points, nailing a three ball and a pair of free throws to extend the lead to eight. BCU took a 39-30 lead at the half as Benne drilled the three pointer as time expired.

Briar Cliff late in the fourth went on an 8-0 run to take a 75-59 lead. The Charger knocked down six free throws in the final minute of the contest to preserve the 78-66 victory.

The Chargers have now won six of their last seven contest improved to a 19-8 (14-7 GPAC) mark. The Cliff return home to the Newman Flanagan Center, as they host cross-town rival Morningside in the regular season finale. The Chargers will honor their seniors for senior day before the contest.
