The Charger men's basketball team dropped their road contest against the Jamestown Jimmies 89-74 Wednesday evening.

Jamison Helmers paced the Chargers with 21 points and went five-for-nine from downtown in the contest.
Tyrus Eischeid chipped in 14 points while shooting 50% from the field in the contest.
Blake Sindelar added 12 points and led the team in boards with six.

With the Cliff trailing 25-17 in the first half,
Kamden Wingert knocked down a three to bring the Chargers within two possessions.
Quinn Vesey drove and converted on his layup attempt to cut the lead down to three. The Jimmies responded with a nine-point run to lead 34-22 with 3:50 remaining in the half.

With five seconds remaining in the half, Sindelar buried a triple to cut the lead by four, but a last second heave from Jimmie's Jimmy Llinas gave Jamestown a 40-33 lead heading into intermission. Â

Opening the second half, Helmers knocked down two threes alongside
Wil Lugar's three to cut the lead to three. Sindelar tied the contest 45-45 after converting on an and-one attempt.

Following a basket from Helmers at the 9:44 mark, the Jimmies began to run away with the contest, leading by 15 with two minutes remaining in the contest.

The Chargers slide to 15-12 (9-10 GPAC) on the season. They will return home for their regular season finale against cross-town foe Morningside. The Cliff will honor their seniors before the contest. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:45 p.m.
