A cold stretch doomed the Charger men's basketball team Saturday afternoon, as the fell to Morningside 107-67 on senior day.

The Chargers came out of the gates strong offensively in the first half, converting on their first 11 shot attempts. With 10:46 remaining in the half,
Matthew Stilwill's floater gave the Chargers a 30-21 lead.

Morningside's Daniel Brocaille nailed a three as the Mustang's cut the Chargers lead to two. The Mustangs went on a 17-0 run to take a 55-39 lead heading into half time. The Charger offensive struggles continued into the second half, as a Stilwill three was the first made basket since 10 minutes of game time.

In the effort, Stilwill scored 22 points and shot eight-for-17 from the field.

The Chargers slide to 15-13 (9-11 GPAC) and will enter the GPAC Tournament as the seven seed and will travel to the number two seed Hastings Wednesday. The Chargers and broncos split the season series. The contest will feature two of the conference's premier scorers in Stilwill and Reggie Thomas. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
