Rance Bryant's two-way effort propelled the Chargers to a 4-3 victory over Benedictine in Atchison, Kansas Sunday afternoon. The second baseman went three-for-four at the plate with a double and RBI and pitched the final inning. Bryant made quick work of the last batters recording one strike out and earning the save.

Nelson Cone opened the contest on the bump for the Chargers, tossing four innings with nine strikeouts while allowing just one earned run. Logan Barboa earned the win, throwing four innings and allowing one run and recorded two strikeouts.

Trailing 1-0 entering the top of the fourth inning, Cam Reimer drew a one-out walk, and advanced to third following a wild pitch.
Cy Patterson drew a walk to put runners at the corners with two outs.
Jake Chronic's RBI-single followed by
Easton Cone's RBI-double gave Briar Cliff the 2-1 lead.

Damon Schmid put the ball in play, allowing

The Chargers improve to 2-1 on the season and will travel next weekend to Baker University to play four games against Missouri Baptist and Baker University. They will play Missouri Baptist on Saturday and Baker University on Sunday. Double headers are scheduled for 12 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
