The 23
rd ranked Charger women's basketball team put together a dominant performance, shooting 53% from the field in a 93-66 victory over Saint Ambrose in Davenport, Iowa Saturday afternoon.
Kennedy Benne led the charge with 17 points, six rebounds, and four steals.

With 4:55 remaining in the first quarter, the Fighting Bees clung to a 14-8 lead following a jumper from Caitlyn Thole. From that point it became all BCU, as they went on a 20-4 run to lead by 10 heading into quarter two. The Chargers received a boost from the reserves, as Boyle Brigid chipped in five points while
Kylie Sanger and
Makenna Kleinhesselink added three a piece during the run.

Coming out of half time, The Cliff's offense went through Benne, who scored eight points while shooting three-for-five from the field and hauled in four rebounds. Briar Cliff's defense held the Fighting Bees to 35% from the field in the quarter.

Opening the fourth quarter the Chargers increased their lead to 25 following a pair of free throws from Benne and a layup from
Adrianna Webster. A three midway through the final frame from
Cadence Davis gave the Chargers their largest lead of the night of 31.

Mallie McNair continued her strong play early this season, adding 14 points and grabbing four rebounds.
Grace Flanagan knocked down three treys while
Rachel Langel added seven points and grabbed eight rebounds.
Kenna Mongan off the bench scored nine points and knocked down a pair of threes.

The Cliff in the contest knocked down 11 threes and shot 47% from downtown.

Briar Cliff moves to 3-0 on the season and will hit next Saturday, as they travel to Fremont, Nebraska to take on the Warriors of Midland. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
