The Charger women's soccer team fell 2-0 to Midland Wednesday afternoon at Faber Field.
The Warriors got on the board in the 39
th minute, as Addison Castellanos scored off an assist from Rosa Schellman. Briar Cliff's
Vivian Olson looked to even the score quickly after, but her shot was turned away from Midland's Kyla Pires.
Coming out of intermission,
Tia Lisy looked to get the Chargers on the board in the 51
st minute, but her header was denied by Pires.
The Warriors added a brace in the 87
th minute with Hanna Schimmer's late goal.
Jamie Rowlands recorded three saves in the contest, along with
Kinley Wood who tallied two. Lisy recorded two shots on goal, while
Hannah Shuttleworth and
Sina Morl recorded a shot apiece.
The Chargers fall to 4-5-5 (3-4-4 GPAC) and will travel to Jamestown for the GPAC season finale. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
