Briar Cliff's women's soccer defeated Jamestown 1-0 Saturday afternoon in Jamestown, North Dakota.
In a scoreless first half, BCU was awarded a corner kick in the 57th minute. Sophia Rodriguez set up a pass from the corner to Gemma White outside the penalty box, she drove past a Jimmie defender with an open shot into the net.
White's goal was the first of two shots on goal for the Chargers in the second half, tallying seven in the match.
BCU was rewarded with four corner kicks, compared to Jimmies' nine which put Kinley Wood to the test. She turned the Jimmies down in each attempt, leaving them scoreless with six saves on 10 shots. Alongside Wood was the tactical defense of Tia Lisy, Thea Dahlgren, Libby Ferguson and Rodriguez who assisted in the clean sheet.
Sydney Robbins led the Chargers with two shots on goal, followed by Sina Morl and White with one, respectively.
The Chargers finish the season with a 5-5-5 (4-4-4 GPAC) record.
