The Briar Cliff came away with two massive interceptions in the fourth quarter as they earned a 21-17 Homecoming win over Dakota Wesleyan.

The momentum swung in favor of the Chargers early in the fourth quarter. With a 10-7 lead Dakota Wesleyan looked to complete a short pass but was intercepted by
Brayden Pommier-Williams who won the foot race over the DWU quarterback for the pick-six. The Chargers took a 14-10 lead after a
Jacob Myers PAT.

Dakota Wesleyan's Jamin Arend burst through the line on the following possession for a 45-yard touchdown to put the Tigers back in the lead.

The Charger offense took the field with 2:53 remaining on their own 41-yard line. BC worked a nine-play, 59-yard touchdown drive that left just 31 seconds on the clock with a four-point lead.

Brock Saya accounted for all 59 yards during the game winning drive, completing 5-of-8 passes for 53 yards. Saya connected with
Aaron Okoro on a fade in the corner of the end zone that found its way through a pair of DWU defenders.
Jaiden-Aavery Stowers made back-to-back clutch receptions of 12 and 20 yards that moved the Chargers inside the 10-yard line.

With under 30 seconds left, the Tiger offense looked to push the ball down field but were halted by an interception by
Zach Buick.

The first half was defensive heavy, as the score was 0-0 after 30 minutes. The Chargers out gained the Tigers 139-95 in the first half.

Saya completed 19-of-35 pass attempts for 200 yards and one touchdown.
Matthew Mason totaled 75 yards and one touchdown on 25 carries.

Stowers had his best game in the Blue and Gold with six receptions for 82 yards.
Steven Whiting hauled in five catches for 68 yards, while Okoro had five catches and the game winning TD.

Angel Nava-Esparza led the Cliff with eight tackles (three solo), Pommier-Williams have seven tackles and one interception returned for a TD.

BC moved to 3-1 at Memorial Field and 3-5 overall on the season.

The Chargers will travel to Sioux Center, Iowa next Saturday for a meeting with Dordt. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m.
