The Briar Cliff volleyball team fell in three (14-25, 13-25, 10-25) to #6 Concordia Friday night in Seward, Nebraska.
"The score did not reflect our energy on the court tonight, we played better today than we have played all week and that momentum will take us right into tomorrow," said head coach
Lindsey Weatherford. "Chloe looked strong on the outside, she was able to see the court well and hit around Concordia's strong block."
The Chargers struggled to get their offensive attack going tonight, hitting just .045 in the contest. The Bulldogs, who have an NAIA-leading .289 hitting percentage, hit .425 on the night.
Chloe Johnson had a team-high in kills (eight), blocks (two) and digs (nine).
Tannah Heath dished out 18 assists and had four digs.
Sami Wasmund had five kills, one ace and one block.
The Bulldogs had 12 players register a kill, led by Gabi Nordaker's nine on a .412 hitting percentage. Bree Burtwistle had a game-high 31 assists.
The Chargers are back in action tomorrow in Fremont, Nebraska when they face Midland at 3:00 p.m.
