In a total team effort win over Midland Saturday, the Briar Cliff women's basketball team had 13 players score in the 91-59 victory. The Chargers pick up their fifth GPAC win and move to 8-3 on the season.

Four of the five Briar Cliff starters scored five or more points in the first quarter, as they raced out to a 24-10 lead. The Chargers shot 62.5% from the field and 3-of-4 from deep, while holding Midland to 33.3% shooting. Briar Cliff ended the final 2:36 of the opening quarter with a 12-2 run that was capped off by back-to-back 3-pointers from
Kennedy Benne and
Konnor Sudmann.

Midland found success on the offensive side of the ball with 20 points in the second period. However, the Chargers would match point-for-point as they extended their lead to 46-30 at halftime.

Briar Cliff clamped down in the third quarter, holding the Warriors to 3-of-10 shooting, 12 points and five turnovers. Benne led the Cliff with eight points, two steals and a pair of 3-pointers. BC grabbed their largest lead of the night after a
Josie Condon and-1 with 35 seconds left.

BC cruised in the fourth quarter to their third straight win.
Madisyn Rogan poured in eight points in the final quarter, going 3-for-3 with two 3-pointers and three rebounds.

The Chargers scored 21 points off turnovers, 32 in the paint and received 34 points from their bench unit.

Briar Cliff set new season bests in 3-pointers made (12) and 3-point percentage (52.2%) tonight. BC tallied 13 steals and has now recorded six straight games with 10 or more steals.

The Cliff dished out 23 assists on 34 baskets and shot 51.5% from the field.

Benne led the Chargers in scoring for the third straight game with 16 points, four steals, three assists and went 4-for-4 from the 3-point line.

Payton Slaughter was perfect from the floor tonight at 5-for-5 with two triples, five assists, three rebounds and two steals. Rogan went 4-for-4 with three 3-pointers to go with four boards and three assists.

The Chargers begin a four-game road stretch starting with Hastings next Thursday in Hastings, Nebraska.
