The Briar Cliff basketball teams will celebrate five seniors Saturday at the Newman Flanagan Center as they host Dordt in the regular season finale for both squads. The Chargers will honor Logan Ehlers, Ashley Hohenstein, Ethan Freidel, WIl Johnson and Peyton Walker in a Senior Day ceremony between games.

The Briar Cliff women are 16-8 overall and sit fourth in the conference standings with a 14-7 conference mark. Dordt is just behind in fifth place at 14-10 on the season and 13-6 in the GPAC. Although the teams are expected to meet at the NFC in the opening round of the GPAC tournament regardless of Saturday's outcome, the game will determine whether Briar Cliff holds sole possession of fourth in the final standings or share it with the Defenders. On the men's side, Briar Cliff is an even 12-12 this year and 9-10 against conference opponents. The Chargers sit at seventh in the conference standings with one game to play, just behind the Defenders, who are 12-7 in the GPAC and 17-7 overall.
