Biography

2020-21: Appeared in 25 games for the Cliff... scored 297 points and finishes his career with 1,376 career points which ranks 23rd in BC history... Freidel ranks 4th in program history with 262 career 3-point field goals and is tied for second with nine treys in a game, a feat he accomplished twice... had a season high 31 points against Morningside on 1/13/21, knocking nine 3-pointers... also recorded 60 rebounds and dished out 42 assists... earned honorable mention all-GPAC.

2019-20: Played in 21 games for the Chargers as a junior, missing a number of contests due to injury...totaled 323 points on the season and joined the Cliff's 1,000-point club, ending the season with 1,079 career points...scored 33 points against Dakota Wesleyan on 2/5/20, where he went 5-for-7 from long range and 10-for-10 from the charity stripe...earned honorable mention all-GPAC honors and was named Briar Cliff's Comeback Athlete of the Year.

2018-19: Played in 29 games for the Cliff as a sophomore...scored 469 points, averaging 16.2 points per game...scored a career-high 33 points against Benedictine Mesa on 12/20/18...hit nine 3-pointers against WVU Tech in the second round of the NAIA DII Men's Basketball Tournament...was named second team all-GPAC...shot 37.1% from beyond the arc...named GPAC Player of the Week on 12/17/19.

2017-18: Appeared in 33 games in his first season with BC...was and honorable mention all-conference selection...was fifth in scoring with 8.7 points per game, netting 287 points...scored a career high 25 points against St. Thomas at the National Tournament...shot 37.7 percent from the three-point line...grabbed 55 rebounds to go with 19 assists and 22 steals. 

HS: Helped lead Tea Area High School to a South Dakota Class A State Championship. He poured in 29 points in the state championship game, including dropping six triples. He averaged over 22 points a game during the season and grabbed nearly five rebounds a game. Freidel joined the 1,000-point club at Tea Area as well. He was the South Dakota All Star Boys’ Basketball Player of the Year during his senior season.
