Briar Cliff football fell to #3 Morningside 84-7 Saturday at Memorial Field. The Chargers are now 1-6 (1-5 GPAC), while the Mustangs improve to 6-0 (6-0 GPAC).

Morningside jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead just five minutes into the game and cruised from there. Briar Cliff's lone touchdown came in the third quarter when
Luke Davies found Spencer Slyvester George open in the middle of the field for a nine-yard touchdown reception.Â

Davies completed 15 passes for 193 yards and the one touchdown.
Kobe Johnson had a game high 103 receiving yards on seven catches.Â

Brett Tinker led the Cliff on defense with 15 tackles (13 solo) and one tackle for a loss.
Kadeem Muhammad added 11 tackles (10 solo).
Christian Balmer tallied one fumble recovery and
Tulsa Janish had one interception.Â

The Blue and Gold travel to Jamestown, North Dakota next Saturday for a matchup against the Jamestown Jimmies. Kick-off is set for 1 p.m.
