The 2018 season will be Alison Wickwire's first season as an assistant coach for Briar Cliff and her third season with the program after spending the previous two years as a graduate assistant. 

Prior to coming to BC, Wickwire had a four-year career at Alfred University, a NCAA Division III school in Alfred, New York. She had a stellar season for the Saxons as a senior, hitting .372 with 17 homers, 52 RBI and 35 runs scored. Wickwire also holds the career homerun record with 27 and is in the top 10 in 11 categories in the Alfred record books. As a senior, Wickwire was named to the 2015 NCAA Division III Softball College World Series All-Tournament Team and was an NFCA Second Team All-American. She was also named NCAA Division III Championships Alfred Regional Most Outstanding Player and was named to the All-Tournament Team. Wickwire was also an Empire 8 All-Conference first team selection. She also pitched for the Saxons and notched a personal record of 13-4 last season with 108 strikeouts, three shutouts and an ERA of 3.08. Wickwire received a bachelors degree in biology and psychology at Alfred.  She then earned a masters in health care administration and human resources at BCU.

Wickwire is a native of Towanda, Pennsylvania where she graduated from Towanda Area High School. She was a first team All-Northern Tier League selection as a junior and senior and was named honorable mention as a freshman and sophomore.
