Briar Cliff University

Edgar Mace is in his first season as a volunteer assistant coach with the throwers of the Briar Cliff track and field team. Mace has been involved as a track and field coach since 2009, when he served as a coach for the Bellevue Breeze Track Club in Bellevue, Nebraska. He has coached USATF national, regional and state champions and a junior Olympic medalist in his career. 

Additionally, Mace has been involved with a number of youth sports in many different age groups, including as a volunteer football and basketball coach. He owned and operated the Nebraska Wildcats, a semi-pro football team in Omaha, for 10 years. 

Mace is a native of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and currently resides in Bellevue with his wife, Karla, and four daughters, Mya, Morghan, Mackenzie and Mercedes.
