Scott Miller is a new addition to the Briar Cliff University softball coaching staff for the 2008 season.

Miller brings nearly 20 years of fastpitch playing experience to the Charger program. He has competed in the ISC World Fastpitch Tournament seven times and was an American Softball Association First-Team All-American in 1997. He also has played baseball for various amateur teams in Nebraska and South Dakota for the past 30 years.

A graduate of Emporia State University (Kan.), Miller has taught elementary and high school physical education, coached and served as athletic director at schools in Nebraska and Iowa. He also recently has served as an assistant football coach here at Briar Cliff.
