Biography
2018 Outdoor: Participated in two events during the outdoor season...ran the 10000 meter at the Wildcat Classic in 34:22.78 to finish second...was fifth at the Doane Invite in the 5000 meter with a time of 16:36.92.
2018 Indoor: Competed in four events durng the season...was ninth in the 3000 meter run at the Buena Vista Open with a time of 9:24.88...was 10th in the 5000 meter run at the GPAC Indoor Championship after running a 16:26.38.
2017 Outdoor: Competed in four events during the outdoor season…his best times were 4:30.86 in the 1500 meters at the Red Raider Open, 16:38.90 in the 5000 meters at the BVU Invite, 34:42.08 in the 10000 meters (Red Raider Open) and helped the 4x400 meter relay team post a time of 3:57.90 (Dordt Invite)…his best finish was third in the 10000 meters at the Red Raider Open (34:42.08) and eighth in the 5000 meters at the BVU Invite (16:38.90).
2017 Indoor: Participated in five events during the indoor season…his best times were 2:07.76 in the 800 meters (SDSU Classic), 2:53.35 in the 1000 meters (Chelsey M. Henkenius Open), 5:03.12 in the mile (Dordt Indoor), 9:45.07 in the 3000 meters (Dennis Young Classic) and 16:21.48 in the 5000 meters (SDSU Classic)…best finish of the season was fifth in the 5000 meters with a time of 17:04.50 at the Chelsey M. Henkenius Classic…also placed sixth in the 5000 meters clocking a time of 16:34.54 at the DWU Alumni Open.
HS: Six-time letterwinner for the Rebels of Sioux Central High School (four in cross country and two in track)...earned all-conference second team honors, sophomore year… junior year was all-conference first team and state qualifier…was conference runner-up and state a qualifier, senior year.
Personal: Son of Danny Demers...chemistry major.
