Cory Christensen has served as the Briar Cliff men's soccer head coach since the 2019 season.
In 2020, the Cliff went 14-4-2 and finished second in the GPAC regular season with a record of 8-1-2. Christensen guided the Chargers to their first ever NAIA Men’s Soccer National Tournament appearance, after winning the GPAC Conference Tournament Championship 1-0 over Morningside. BC also cracked the NAIA Top-25 for the first time, ranking as high as 17th.
In 2019, the Chargers went 13-6-1 and 9-2 in the conference and went on an eight game win streak where they outscored opponents 24-2.
Christensen graduated from the Cliff in 1997 as the career goals leader for the Chargers with 40. After graduating, he played with the Sioux City Breeze (1997-98) and professionally with the Arizona Saguaros (2000-02).
Christensen joined Briar Cliff after being the head women's and assistant men's coach at Cazenovia College in Cazenovia, New York. The Wildcats' women's team went 12-5-1 in 2018 under Christensen and broke several program records including wins, goals and shutouts.
