Asi Tupua was named Sports Information Director on October of 2024.
Tupua is the primary contact for all Charger athletic programs. Tupua previously served in the marketing department for Briar Cliff University. Prior to working in marketing, he served as a graduate assistant in the Sports Information Departement at The Cliff in the spring semester of 2022. Tupua's primarily contact responsibilities include in-game statistics, management of the athletic website and social media account, creation of game notes and press releases, and coverage of game day operations.
Tupua earned his Bachelor's degree in Digital Communications with a minor in Photography from Briar Cliff University in 2020. He earned a Master's in Sports Management from Briar Cliff in 2022. A four-year letter winner for the Charger football team (2018-21), Tupua ranks fourth all-time in career sacks. Tupua continued his football career with the Sioux City Bandits of the National Arena for the last four seasons.
A native of Lake Stevens, Washington, Tupua and his wife, Ann, reside in Sioux City with their son, Leo.
