HS: Twenty-One-time letterwinner for the Falcons of West Sioux High School (Four in football, five in baseball, four in basketball, four in golf, two in track, two in golf)...first team all state in baseball and first team all state in football as a junior...SR: first team all state in football.

Personal: Son of John and Erin Blankenship...accounting major...was involved in TAG, National Honor Society, and Student Council in high school.
