HS: Seven-time letterwinner for the Redhawks of Grand Rapids Union High School (four in track, two in football, one in basketball)...was the fastest sprinter on his track team both junior and senior seasons.

Personal: Son of Mercedes Gant...majoring in social work...enjoys volunteering at Kids' Food Basket and In the Image Clothing Center.
