HS: Seven-time letterwinner for the Tigers of Spencer High School (three in football, three in soccer, one in baseball)...honorable mention all-conference, academic all-conference and most valuable player during his senior season in football.

Personal: Son of Jason and Sarah Ellis...majoring in history.
