HS: Four-time letterwinner for the Golden Hawks of Nanakuli High and Intermediate School (three in football and one in track)...first team all-star, first team all-Hawaii, and third team all-state as a senior. 

Personal: Son of Aaron and Leona Kaapuni...business administration major...nickname: "Kahekili" (Thor)...favorite snack is Li-Hing Mui Watermelon gummys...gets pumped up listening to "Hawaii 78".
