The 2015 season was Kenny Hanes' first season as a student assistant coach with the Charger football program and was the outside linebackers coach. Hanes joins the staff a year after suiting up for the Cliff when he was a first team all-conference selection in 2014. Hanes started all 11 games for BCU at safety in 2014 and led the team in tackles with 118 to go with 4.5 tackles-for-loss, four interceptions and two fumble recoveries. Hanes finished his Charger career with 205 tackles, eight pass breakups and six interceptions.
