Briar Cliff University

Joe Schmitz is in his sixth year as an assistant with the Charger Football Program. Schmitz will serve as the team's offensive line coach and assistant head coach and recruiting coordinator. Prior to coming to Briar Cliff, he served three years as an assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Prior to that, he started 42 games for the Titans of Oshkosh, where he was a three-year all-conference center.   

 

The Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin native earned his undergraduate degree from Oshkosh in 2009 and his master's degree in 2010.  Schmitz, his wife Jenni and son Cameron reside in Sioux City.
