Briar Cliff University

2019 will mark the first season for Jeff Cheek as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Briar Cliff.

Cheek came to the Cliff from Los Angeles Valley College, where he was the offensive coordinator in 2018. Cheek led the Monarch offense to averages of 46 points per game and nearly 480 yards per contest.

Cheek's coaching career began in 2002, immediately after his playing career was finished at Boise State, when he took a job at Nampa Senior High School in Nampa, Idaho. He has held the role as offensive coordinator at the collegiate level at LA Valley College, West Hills College (Cali.), Minnesota Crookston and Golden West College with other coaching stops at Boise State (GA), Fresno State, Eastern Oregon University, Victor Valley College, Humboldt State and Fort Lewis College.

Cheek played on the offensive line for Boise State and earned a BS in Social Science and an MA in Education Pedagogy from the University. He was a part of two conference championship teams with the Broncos that went on to win the Fiesta and Las Vegas Bowls.
