AT BC: In his fourth season with the Charger program. 

As a junior was named 2nd team All GPAC pitcher, he was the Chargers pitching ace leading the staff in wins (6), games started (12), complete games (5), innings pitched (67.1), and strikeouts (33)...
Made 18 appearances for a combined 20.2 innings with a 4.79 ERA. Had a record of 1-1 and collected 3 saves with 12 strikeouts as a sophomore and was named Honorable mention All GPAC... Came on as a closer late in freshman season? produced 1-0 record and 4.40 ERA in six appearances (14.1 innings).

HS: Six-time letter winner for the Panthers (three in baseball, two in basketball, one in golf)...earned Honorable Mention All-Conference as a junior and second-team All-Conference as a senior.

 

PERSONAL: Son of Thayne Benz and Cathy Benz...undecided.
