The Charger men's soccer team fell 1-0 to the Graceland Yellowjackets, Wednesday evening in Lamoni, Iowa.

The Chargers and Yellowjackets battled through a scoreless first half, with both defenses keeping the match deadlocked at 0-0 heading into the break. Briar Cliff goalkeeper Lucas Attanasio made five saves in the opening half to keep Graceland off the board. 

The match remained scoreless deep into the second half until Graceland broke through in the 74th minute when Axel Bigler found the back of the net putting the Yellowjackets on the board.

Briar Cliff continued to battle for the equalizer, but Graceland's defense held firm over the final minutes to secure the victory.

Attanasio finished the night with six saves, while Alejandro Illan led the Chargers with two shots, including one on target. Ignacio Barrios and David Utsi-Grinde also recorded shots on goal. Briar Cliff finished with nine shots and three shots on target, while Graceland held a 23-9 advantage in shots.
