The Charger dropped a tough contest to the visiting Bellevue Bruins 13-9 at the Bishop Mueller Complex Tuesday afternoon.
Bellevue in the top of the first got on the board first with a two-run blast with two outs to take the early lead.

Jake Christianson led off the bottom of the inning with a single and stole second to put a runner in scoring position.
Cade Marquardt's two-out single put runners at the corners. A bases clearing single from
Connor Neubeck tied the game at 2-2.
Heading into the bottom of the sixth, the Bruins regained a two-run lead. The Cliff chipped away at the deficit, with a lead-off home run from
Greyson Kay to cut the lead to one. Bellevue in the next inning added three runs to take a 8-4 lead.
The Chargers carded two runs in the bottom of the inning, with a RBI single from
Damon Schmid and the Chargers scoring off an error.
Trailing 9-6 heading into the bottom of the eighth, the Chargers quickly loaded the bases with no outs. A RBI single from Marquardt followed by a run scored from
Raenan Padilla cut the lead to one. Pinch runner
Jake Bussom scored on a wild pitch to even the contest.
The Bruins scored four runs in the top of the ninth off a Charger error to take the 13-9 lead.
Marquardt went a perfect five-for-five at the plate with two RBIs. Kay and Christianson both recorded two hits in the contest.
Brock Saya on the mound tossed four innings and allowed four runs scattered across eight hits while recording five strikeouts.
The Chargers fall to 2-9 and will travel to Atchison, Kansas this weekend to take on Benedictine for a four-game series. They will play a doubleheader this Friday beginning at 1 p.m.
