SCOUTING THE CHARGERS
The Briar Cliff women's basketball team returns to conference action, winning their most recent GPAC match-up on the road 78-54 at Midland.
Abby Lee led the way for the Chargers with 24 points on 9-of-19 shooting. She also tallied eight rebounds, four steals, and a block.
Kenna Mongan followed with 12 points, six rebounds, and five assists.
Mallie McNair contributed 11 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and two steals as well in the win.
Lee currently ranks second in the GPAC in points per game, averaging 19.9 per contest. She also ranks fifth in the conference in field goal percentage, shooting 52.1% from the floor. McNair's 17.8 points per game rank fifth in the GPAC.
SCOUTING THE DEFENDERS
The Defenders return to conference action after defeating College of Saint Mary on the road 108-54 this past Saturday.
Gracie Schoonhoven led the way for Dordt with 20 points, three rebounds, and two steals. Macy Sievers followed with 15 points, eight assists, six rebounds, and two steals. Miylie Zomer also tallied nine points and five rebounds in the win.
Schoonhoven currently leads GPAC in points per game, averaging 22.1. She also ranks first in field goal percentage, shooting 64.7 percent from the field. Sievers is first in the conference in total assists with 220 on the year. She also sits second in steals with 67 and fourth in rebounds per game with 8.0.
LAST TIME OUT
The Cliff fell 77-65 inside the Newman Flanagan Center earlier this season.
Lee led the way for the BCU with 17 points, six rebounds, five steals, and three blocks.
Brooklyn Heineman followed with 15 points, four rebounds, and three assists.
For the Defenders, Schoonhoven and Sievers each tallied 25 points. Sievers also added 12 rebounds and four assists. Schoonhoven contributed eight rebounds and an assist.
