The Charger wrestling team dropped their road dual to the Morningside Mustangs 26-9 in Sioux City, Iowa Friday evening.
"For whatever reason tonight, we didn't come prepared to execute in those tight moments that occur during a match," said Head Coach
Donaco Watts. "I'll take the blame for that. I feel like we did compete hard, though. Hats off to Coach Pederson, his staff, and their wrestlers. They brought it to us and deserved to win tonight."
The Chargers'
Tyler Fouts earned a major decision victory, defeating Wiley Hegwer in the 157-pound match.
Late in the dual
Jarrod Gilliam in the 133-pound bout defeated Noah Thorsen with a 17-2 technical fall victory.
Dante Rigal in the 141-pound match dropped a close 8-5 decision.
Jeremiah Bethel lost a close decision 4-1 to Mekhi Bovee.
