Jayson Rucker of the Charger men's track and field team has been named the Hilton Garden Inn Sioux City Riverfront Briar Cliff Athlete of the Week after an impressive performance at the Dennis Young Classic.

Rucker, a senior from Wheaton, Illinois, finished fourth in the 60m with a mark of 7.19 seconds in the finals, hitting a new personal best and breaking his previous record of 7.23 seconds.
 
The Chargers will return to competition on Friday, January 30, at 10 a.m., competing at the Concordia Classic.
