The Charger women's soccer team fell to the #21Â Central Methodist Eagles 4-1 Wednesday afternoon at Faber Field.

The Eagles scored quickly in the first minute and tacked on another goal in the 5
th minute to take an early 2-0 lead. They extended their lead to 3-0 in the 12
th minute.

Before halftime,
Ellen Lofsjogard got the Chargers on the board with a goal off an assist from
Lerato Mosia.

CMU added another goal in the 85
th minute to lead 4-1.

The Eagles fired 26 shots in the match with 17 on target.
Caitlin Anderholm recorded 13 saves with 10 coming in the second half.

The Chargers move to 1-3 and will return to action on September 10, as they host the Trojans of Dakota State.
