The Charger football defeated the Dakota Wesleyan Tigers 21-7 on Memorial Field Saturday on Homecoming. The Cliff forced five turnovers in the contest.

Max Rascon Jr. got the Chargers on the board midway through the first quarter, recording a tackle-for-loss in the Tiger endzone to force a safety.

On the ensuing drive, the Chargers tacked on three more points courtesy of a Jacob Meyers' 30-yard field goal attempt to go up 5-0.

With under a minute left, Saya threw an interception and the Tigers looked to score before the half. Michael Casarez notched his first sack of the day on the next possession to force the Tigers to burn a timeout. On the following play he batted down a pass to make it third-and-17. The Cliff held the Tigers out of the endzone and took an 11-0 lead heading into the break.

In the third, the Tigers scored on a 31-yard touchdown pass from Jed Jensen to Caleb Killbride to cut the lead to one possession.

In the beginning of the fourth, Meyers 25-yard field goal gave BCU a 14-7 lead.

On the next drive, Chase Brown recorded a strip sack and Jesse Hastings scooped up the fumble to give BCU the ball at the Tigers' 18-yard line. The Chargers capitalized with Saya and Westbrook connecting for their second touchdown of the game, this time a 33-yard strike to take a 21-7 lead.
