The Charger women's soccer team fell 3-1 to the Morningside Mustangs Wednesday evening in Sioux City, Iowa.
The Chargers struck first in the fifth minute, as
Tamzin Hilton found the back of the net off an assist from
Lucy Carter.
In the 18
th minute,
Ellen Lofsjogard looked to add to the lead, but her shot was turned away by Morningside's Moriah Dixson.
The Mustangs answered with a goal of their own in the 36
th minute from Trinay Garcia. MSIDE tacked on to the lead in the 49
th minute to take a 2-1 lead. They added another goal in the 53
rd minute to go up 3-1.
Kinley Wood played all 90 minutes at keeper and made two saves. Hilton led the team with two shots.
BCU moves to 2-5 (0-2 GPAC) and will travel to Seward, Nebraska to take on the Concordia Bulldogs. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
