The Charger men's soccer team opened GPAC play with a tie against the Tigers of Doane 2-2 on Faber Field Saturday afternoon.

The Tigers opened the scoring in the 6
th minute of the match as Mateo Jelicich scored. The Chargers responded with a goal in the 32
nd minute, as a foul occurred in the box.
Alejandro Illan capitalized on the penalty kick opportunity to tie the contest 1-1.

Pablo Gonzalez scored off an assist from
David Utsi-Grinde to give the Chargers a 2-1 lead.

The Tigers tied the contest in the 85
th minute as Jelicich notched his second goal of the match.

Ferdinand Overik Dahl got the start for the Chargers in goal and recorded two saves.
David Sauter paced the Chargers in shots with four.
Alex Johnson recorded three shots with two on goal.

BCU held the advantage on corner kicks 10-1 and shots with 16-6.

The Chargers move to 3-3-1 (GPAC 0-0-1) and will return to action next Wednesday as they take on cross-town rival Morningside. Kick-off is slated for 5:30 p.m.
