The Charger women's soccer team fell against the Spires of Saint Mary 2-0 at Faber Field Saturday afternoon.
 
In the 36^th minute, the Chargers looked to break the scoring tie, as Sierra Brooks fired a shot, but was turned away by the Spires' Avah Casarez.
 
In the 61^st minute, the Chargers created a chance but were unable to capitalize as Ellen Lofsjogard's shot hit the crossbar.
 
Saint Mary broke the scoring drought in the 69^th minute with a goal from Nieves Vazquez. They added a brace in the 81^st minute with a goal from Sadie Dipman.
 
Brooks and Ondine Manceau both recorded two shots in the contest. Caitlin Anderholm recorded four saves in the match.
 
The Chargers fall to 2-4 and will open GPAC play next Saturday, as they host the Tigers of Doane. Kickoff is slated for 3:30 p.m.
