The Charger men's soccer team defeated the Central Christian Tigers 4-2 in McPherson, Kansas Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers struck first in the 29
th minute after breaking the scoreless tie from a goal from Joel Romero.
The Cliff from that point on went to score four unanswered goals, starting with a goal from
Angjelos Arapi in the 47
th minute off an assist from
Alejandro Illan.
Coming out of intermission, Illan would find the back of the net in the 49
th minute from an assist from
Gabriel Hernandez Les.
Leon Hesselbarth gave the Chargers a 3-1 lead in the 55
th minute from a feed from
David Sauter.
Finlay Skilling capped off the scoring in the 77
th minute off a cross from Hernandez Les. The Tigers scored in the final moments of the match to cut the lead to two.
The Chargers improve to 2-0 on the season, and will return to Faber Field this Wednesday, as they host the Bellevue Bruins. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
