The Charger women's soccer team fell 1-0 in a non-conference match up against the 15th ranked Pioneers of MidAmerica Nazarene Wednesday evening in Olathe, Kansas.
The Chargers looked to strike early in the contest, being awarded a corner kick nearing the second minute of the match. In the 38
th minute, the Cliff were awarded another corner, as
Tamzin Hilton recorded a shot off a cross from
Therese Molin. Hilton's shot was saved by the Pioneers' Fiona Popetschnig to keep the match scoreless.
In the 53
rd minute, the Pioneers broke the scoreless tie with a goal from Tindra Jarl. The Chargers created another chance in the 74
th minute, but Hilton's shot went wide.
Caitlin Anderholm played all 90 minutes at keeper for the Chargers and recorded three saves.
Farrah Thompson recorded a shot in the match.
The Chargers will return home to Faber Field this Saturday, as they host the Statesmen of William Penn University. Kickoff is slated for 3 p.m.
