The Charger men's soccer team dropped their season opener against the Grand View Vikings 2-1 at Faber Field Saturday.

th minute, the Chargers found the back of the net following a goal from Gabriel Hernadez Les.

Xabier Ilundain held the Vikings scoreless in the first half, recording two saves after facing seven shots.

The Vikings tied the game as Justin Figaroa scored in the 51
st minute. Grandview scored in the 85
th minute to take a late 2-1 lead.

Ilundain finished the match with seven saves and played all 90 minutes at keeper.
Alejandro Illan led the team with three shots with one on target.
David Sauter,
Leon Hesselbarth, Pablo Gonalzez, and
Giuseppe Marrix each recorded a shot.

The Chargers will travel to McPherson, Kansas next Thursday as they take on McPherson College. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
