The Charger men's soccer team earned their first victory of the season Thursday evening, defeating the McPherson Bulldogs 2-0 in McPherson, Kansas.

The Chargers posted a clean sheet with keeper
Xabier Ilundain recording six saves in the match. McPherson threatened in the early moment, with three shots in the first 11 minutes of the match. Ilundain turned away all three shots during the span.

The Cliff's lone chance in the first half came in the 37
th minute, as
Alejandro Illan found the back of the net to put the Chargers up before the break.

Illan added a brace in the 77
th minute of the contest, scoring his second goal off an assist from
Angjelos Arapi. Ilundain faced eight shots in the second half and recorded two saves. He finished with six saves in the match.
