The Charger softball team dropped their season finale doubleheader to the seventh ranked Northwestern Red Raiders Saturday at Hubbard Park in Sioux City, Iowa.

Game one – L, 0-10 (5 Innings)

The Red Raiders took an early 2-0 advantage after the first inning. The Red Raiders extended their lead to seven after the third inning.

Skylar Bainter went two-for-two at the plate while
Kaydence Kinder recorded a hit in the contest.

Game two – L, 0-9 (5 Innings)

The Red Raiders were off to a fast start in game two, scoring eight runs in the first two innings.

In the bottom of the fifth, the Chargers created a scoring opportunity following a one out single from Kinder. Bainter followed with a single of her own to put runners at first and second.
Sydney Ebel drew a walk to load up the bases for The Cliff.

The Red Raiders stranded the Chargers and forced a ground ball for the final out of the inning.

Rylee Cain, Bainter, Kinder each recorded a hit in the contest.

The Chargers finish the season with a 8-30 (2-20 GPAC) record.
