The Chargers suffered a narrow 77-76 defeat to the Dakota Wesleyan Tigers Wednesday evening inside the Newman Flanagan Center. A foul call with three seconds left gave the Tigers two free throws in the final moments to take the one-point lead.

The Cliff trailed the Tigers 33-32 after a back-and-forth first half. The Chargers shot 44% from the field and knocked down just three of their 11 three-point attempts.

Colby Collison along the baseline and Collison converted on the and-one play to give BCU a 76-75 lead. With three seconds left, DWU's Tampa Scott IV was fouled on his shot attempt and sank both free throws to take the lead.

Blake Sindelar recorded a game-high 24 points to go along with three rebounds. Sindelar shot nine-for-16 from the field and knocked down a pair of threes.
Matthew Stilwill finished 19 points, three steals, and two assists in the contest.
Jamison Helmers chipped in 17 points and went six-for-11 from the field.

The Chargers move to 12-11 (7-8 GPAC), and will return to action this Saturday, as they host the Doane Tigers inside the Newman Flanagan Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:45 p.m. Briar Cliff will honor their seniors after the conclusion of the women's contest.
