The Charger men's basketball team dropped their road contest to Mount Marty 80-69 in Yankton, South Dakota Saturday afternoon.
Briar Cliff led 36-32 at halftime, but the Lancers put together a strong offensive performance, shooting 60% from the field to propel them to the win.
Matthew Stilwill scored 27 points and knocked down three shots from beyond-the-arc and led the team with seven rebounds. He also recorded three steals and two assists.
Blake Sindelar matched Stilwill with 27 points and went nine-for-16 from the field and went five-for-seven from three-point land. He recorded five rebounds and notched three steals.
Tash Lunday paced the Lancers with 24 points while three other players added 10 points.
Mount Marty held the advantage in rebounds 33 to 22 in the contest.Â
BCU shot 45% from the field and knocked down nine threes in the contest.
The Chargers move to 14-12 (9-9 GPAC), and will return to the Newman Flanagan Center this Wednesday, as they host the 13th ranked Northwestern Red Raiders inside the Newman Flanagan Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:45 p.m.
